What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Associate II, Grand Theatre Marketing, PR and Outreach position at Salt Lake Community College?
This position will coordinate, distribute, and help to generate all marketing, PR, and social media material for The Grand Theatre, including, maintaining a marketing schedule as well as helping track marketing expenses.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintaining and updating The Grand Theatre’s social media accounts including, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, The Grand Theatre App, ect.
- Filming cast and production team interviews for PR, social media outlets, and local advertisements
- Filming rehearsal footage for PR, social media outlets, and local advertisements
- Coordinating The Grand’s website updates
- Coordinating dates, times, and materials for our advertising outlets.
- Drafting Grand Theatre press releases
- Assist in generating and distributing all Grand Theatre marketing materials, including, posters, brochures, post cards, social media postings, digital advertising, etc.
- Post Grand Theatre events to various community calendars
- Assist in creating and executing promotional events, contests, and ticket discounts
- Coordinate outreach efforts with local High Schools
- Coordinate outreach efforts with local organizations such as theatre groups, senior groups, etc.
- GED or High School Diploma
- Experience in live theatre, performing arts, or non-profit arts organizations
- Spanish speaking
- Basic skills in PhotoShop, Illustrator, iMovie, and Powerpoint
- Previous experience in social media, PR, or marketing
- Associates Degree
- Able to use Microsoft Excel and Word
- Able to use and maintain forms and spreadsheets in Google Docs
- Able to complete short and long term projects with little supervision
- Ability to use most common social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in updating Grand Theatre schedules various SLCC departments
- Assist with box office operations when required
- Participate in department meetings
- Other duties as assigned
