Youth Programs Director
Responsible for all youth instruction (not including the competitive youth climbing team programs), program development and operations, and ensuring management and training with respect to those programs in our Maine and New Hampshire facilities. The Youth Programs Director will be based in Maine and will work with our NH based youth program coordinator.
- Full-Time (may include working events, weekends, projects and/or working before/after regular hours)
- Salary $55,000 – $65,000 annually, DOE

Since opening in 2015, our youth programming in Maine has grown to be a highly in-demand program serviced by an experienced set of instructors for a wide age range. Our youth programming in NH is growing to be the same. We are in search of an experienced Youth Program Director to continue to nurture, manage, improve, and lead our youth programming in ME and NH.
Core Functions :
- Manage and oversee all Youth Programs at both ME and NH facilities, including, hiring, training, scheduling, and management of all program staff.
- Grow and improve youth programs by identifying program needs, implementing changes, and launching new programs.
- Prompt and professional communication with staff, participants, and parents.
- Be on-site and available to support staff – including teaching programs as necessary – during program hours and be the “face” of the program.
- Collaborate/coordinate with operations on program needs and concerns.
- In partnership with the marketing team, plan and implement relevant campaigns and content related to youth programs.
- Other tasks as needed or assigned. Salt Pump is a dynamic environment. We are a group of hard working, fun loving and strong team players. All staff, including the youth program director, are trained as front desk staff.
Qualifications :
- Enjoys providing direct care and instruction to children and youth and has a passion for youth development and their well-being.
- Minimum 3 years related management experience. Experienced and proven team leader.
- Rock Gym Pro software experience a plus.
- Experience with developing youth programming, preferably in a climbing gym setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational and execution skills.
