ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible for managing orders out of a specific location from start to finish as well as managing a team of catering leads, catering personnel, and delivery drivers. We cater all types of events from small business luncheons to large scale weddings and events. You are the primary point of contact for the guests from their initial inquiries, to helping them plan, order, and price, to scheduling and managing catering staff through our post event follow up. Genuine hospitality is key to providing our guests the "above and beyond" experience we strive for. We want our clients and their guests to choose us and keep choosing us in the future!
- Manage catering staff of various sizes for different events and deliveries, ensuring proper protocols and customer service.
- Operate as the lead/manager at off-site events.
- Assist customers with order placement and planning (food and beverage related questions, allergy related questions, and pricing, conduct tastings, place rental orders).
- Respond to catering inquiries through email/phone.
- Create accurate and up to date order sheets for the kitchen and updating the 7shifts Catering Order Journal, as well as communicating face to face with the kitchen when new orders are added last minute. This includes determining food quantities, BBQ sauce quantities, and disposable quantities. Update different communication formats with tastings/events for the store.
- Send proposals, contracts, and bids to customers for the events you are assigned to.
- Obtain payment info and ringing orders into Toast.
- Assign and schedule time frames for delivery drivers on 7shifts, overseeing daily deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct customer follow ups.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with venues and customer partners.
- Recruit/train drivers, event servers, bartenders, and leads.
- Assign/schedule servers, bartenders, and leads for events.
- Handle payment transactions. (cash, tip outs for delivery).
- Attend weekly catering meetings.
- Check Toast POS sales reports to make sure our workbooks match sales reports.
- Reach out to new venues and businesses for catering needs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle many responsibilities at once while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs.
- Ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. at times.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
- Ability to go up and down stairs.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time in varied climate conditions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of catering management preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold a valid state driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Must have auto insurance with preferred limits of liability.
