This position will be permitted to work from home on Fridays!
Compensation range is $60k to $70k per year - depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures company policies and procedures are understood and implemented.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs and assists with internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Supports leadership with the termination process.
- Monitors document retention and destruction process.
- Conducts audits for emergency contacts, beneficiaries, I-9 documents, systems, etc.
- Compiles and runs reports as needed.
- Enter new or changes in child support, garnishments, levies, and bankruptcy deductions.
- Travels to locations as needed and assists with location specific events.
- Processes terminations and provides related documentation for terminated employees; completes exit interviews when needed.
- Compiles data from personnel records and prepares requested statistics for management and for government reporting.
- Assists in gathering information related to workers compensation claims and submits timely.
- Reviews transfers or promotions to assist in determining necessary changes.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.
- Processes and uploads weekly payroll journal entry and saves weekly payroll reports.
- Completes payroll exception sheet weekly.
- Processes benefit enrollments in the HRIS.
- Assists with Open Enrollment.
- Reviews and approves employee changes in the HRIS which include enrollment or changes in benefits, direct deposits, etc.
- Create and develop employee and manager workshops/training.

- Ability to maintain highly confidential information and data.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn and retain information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite.
- Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Not typical but potential based on business needs (ex: New Store Opening - Orientations).
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university; or two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver’s License
- Automobile Insurance - Minimum limits of liability per Company Policy
