Job Title: Outdoor Dog Adventure Guide

Job Overview:
Join our team at our dog daycare center in Hampton, NH! You will rotate through a schedule as a Dog Adventure Guide (off-leash adventures) and Dog Daycare Attendant (Rufferee).
Key Responsibilities for Dog Adventure Guide:
- Pick up and drop off dogs at their homes in a timely and responsible manner. Ensure the safety and comfort of all dogs during transport.
- Lead engaging and stimulating group walks and hikes for up to 8 dogs at a time. Maintain control and ensure the safety of all dogs off-leash.
- Provide personalized care and attention to each dog, catering to their individual needs and personalities.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to train and manage dog behavior during group outings.
- Plan and execute safe and enjoyable walking and hiking routes, taking into consideration the fitness levels and needs of the dogs.
- Be prepared to work and drive in all weather conditions, ensuring the safety and well-being of the dogs.
- Maintain open and professional communication with dog owners, providing updates and feedback on their dog's behavior and experiences.
Key Responsibilities for Dog Daycare Attendant (Rufferee):
- Supervise and interact with groups of dogs, providing a safe, fun, and structured environment where they can play and socialize.
- Closely observe dog behavior, identify signs of stress or potential conflict, and intervene promptly and calmly to prevent altercations and ensure the safety of all dogs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary facility by promptly cleaning up after dogs, adhering to cleaning schedules, and ensuring that all areas are well-maintained.
- Build positive relationships with pet owners by communicating effectively about their dog's day, including their behavior, activities, and any notable observations.
- Administer snacks, meals, and medications to dogs according to their specific needs and instructions from pet owners.
- Supervise and engage dogs in various activities, including playing fetch and other mentally stimulating and physical activities to ensure they receive sufficient exercise and mental stimulation.
- Conduct comprehensive training activities to improve overall manners, basic obedience commands, and appropriate social interaction for dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling dogs, check-ins using Gingr Software, and maintaining accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with other Rufferees and staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos showcasing the dogs' personalities, interactions and experiences to be uploaded to the client portal on Gingr.
Requirements:
- Punctuality, Patience, and Responsibility: You must be reliable, punctual, and able to handle the significant responsibilities involved in caring for multiple dogs.
- Dog Handling Skills: Comfortable managing group dynamics and reading dog body language is essential. Prior experience handling multiple dogs of all sizes in supervised environments and off-leash is required.
- Smartphone: You must own a smartphone for communication purposes.
- Background Check and Drug Test: You must be able to pass a thorough background check and drug test.
- Positive Attitude and Passion: A positive attitude, genuine love for dogs, and a passion for working with animals are essential qualities for this role.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to walk and hike several miles a day in all weather conditions.
- Driving Skills: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and comfortable driving in various weather conditions.
Schedule and Pay:
- Full-time position: 40 hours per week
- Pay: $16-$19 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
