Summary
Salvagnini America is a company that has the potential to grow and the Project Management Department plays a central role in its operations. The department acts as a communication link between the sales department, customers and the factories in Europe. Project management is crucial in our organization as it helps ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. Effective project management involves planning, organizing, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals and objectives. Project management can involve overseeing the installation of new equipment, managing upgrades or modifications to existing equipment, or coordinating the production of new products.
Customer satisfaction is at the core of the company's values, and the Project Management Department must ensure that Salvagnini can fulfill its commitments towards a customer in an efficient manner, considering time and cost-effectiveness. Salvagnini Group has two Project Management structures, one based on subsidiaries and the other at the Italian headquarters, which work in close contact. The department believes in continuous improvement and is currently focused on improving processes and effectiveness between the two structures.
The focus is to put the machines in production, using the company software (IOS), as well as managing the progress of a project coordinating with technical and production departments in Europe. Proficiency in Salvagnini products and technology, as well as a good commercial and relational attitude, is a requirement for the new role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hereafter a non-exhaustive description of the Project Manager’s tasks:
Support the sales network in defining and offering the most suitable systems for customers’ production requirements, from a technical and operational standpoint;
Be responsible of the fulfillment of the sales contract, analyze/draw up/revise sales contracts. Order confirmation, communicate its contents to the other departments in a structured way, manage activities to positively fulfill the contract;
Be responsible for putting systems in production, configuring them on the company IOS, in a precise, correct and timely way; check the progress of the production on the factory, and the compliance with customer requirements;
Receive and analyze customer requirements sharing them with the involved departments
Issue all explanatory documentation towards Technical Office and Production Dept., to describe functional features, material flow, performance of a system sold;
Internally manage job orders, schedule activities, coordinate projects;
Participate to In-house testing with the customer; final testing at plant;
Ensure system conformity at final acceptance;
Cooperate with the accounting dept. for customer collections;
Interface between end-users and designers to improve or define in detail new or existing pieces of automation;
Revise pricelists together with the Sales dept. and Project Accounting dept.;
Prepare descriptions for quotations and order confirmations;
Widen his/her technical and sales culture and know-how and share them with the Group (subsidiaries and Sales network);
Manage the relationship and visit customers (when needed), to help the progress of a project, both pre, during and post installation of Salvagnini system;
Participate to trade shows and pre- sales meeting when requested;
Participate to training and meeting at Salvagnini factories worldwide, when requested;
Develop, maintain, and improve a deep knowledge on Salvagnini Products, being able to own the Salvagnini portfolio, including basic of software;
Train and educate less expert colleagues on Salvagnini technologies.
A detailed, well rounded knowledge on Salvagnini machines’ working principles is a necessary requirement, to effectively lead the position of PM.

Education and/or Experience
A bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical technology /or five years equivalent work experience in the field. Military experience or practical work experience in a similar field will be considered.

Ability to thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced work environment.

Travel
Frequent US and occasional international travel will be required, up to 30%, including weekends. You must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. The individual must possess a valid driver's license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and have the unrestricted ability to obtain rental vehicles.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
