The Social Services Assistant will help with the operations of the social services department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Greeting & assisting clients visiting the CorpsCompile the monthly / quarterly statistics and submit them as approvedMaintain all upkeep of equipment used for programs / coordinate repairsOrganize catering and refreshment needs for meetingsProvide clerical assistance to the Corps Officers and other staffAssist with Corps projectsPick up donationsCoordinate the food pantry distributionCoordinate the Diaper program distributionCollect all data for statistics, food distribution, donations, and hot mealsSubmit data to Second Harvest of partnership donor participantsAssist the unhoused clients with their mailWarm up food to be served in the afternoonOther related duties as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or equivalent (required)CA Driver's license (required)Experience in data entry (preferred)ServSafe food handling certificate (within first fourteen days of employment – company provided)SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of Microsoft ProgramsAbility to work with diverse populationsTeam playerEQUIPMENT USED : Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.ADA Statement : Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
