PRIMARY JOB OBJECTIVE: Performs customer service duties to assist department personnel in coordinating all sales activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains good relations with customers, handles incoming customer calls on general inquiries and requests, price quotations, status of current orders, lead times, etc. Works closely with manufacturing to assure delivery dates are met.
- Responsible for reviewing, entering and making changes to orders (ship dates, pricing, etc.), must inform customer of changes (via phone) and fax certifications to customers.
- Develops daily ship list activities including all related paperwork associated with the ship list activity.
- Provides backup for the other Customer Service Representatives.
- Responsible for invoicing, credits, and maintaining all associated paperwork.
- Make special packaging and shipping arrangements with key customers.
- Assists Sales Engineers with miscellaneous customer projects and data accumulation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least two year’s experience in customer service.
- Proficient skills in using a personal computer and associated software i.e. Microsoft
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
- Must be well organized.
- Able to perform multiple tasks at one time with good telephone communication skills.
