Nature & Purpose of Position
Manages a comprehensive banking program to include internship and full time student placement, a turn key Executive MBA program in Banking and Financial Institutions. Oversees financial tracking of endowments, scholarships and department budgets. Coordinates and collaborates with banking administrators and executives, students, academic departments and the University Campus Community. The position also includes supervisory responsibilities and event management and execution.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages a comprehensive Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program in Banking and Financial Institutions to include internship and full time student placement. Oversees the work of the assigned staff. Monitors financial tracking of endowments, scholarships and department budgets. Coordinates and collaborates with banking administrators and executives, students, academic departments and the University Campus Community. Provides administrative leadership in advisement, programs and services to students and coordination and promotion with external banking industry executives for student recruitment as well as overall program support. Plans, assigns, and supervises activities, programs events, and services in cooperation with the Chair of Banking. This includes events such as Banking Day, Texas Bankers Hall of Fame and Seminar and other external meetings and programs. Plans and tracks budgets for the department and works on special projects as needed. Assists and helps manage activities involving student development and success academically as well as career development activities. Assists in development of recruitment activities for students and communicating with key external stakeholders. Also, is involved in working with the Chair of Banking on maintaining and developing banking major degree plans for both undergraduate and graduate students for the EMBA. Performs other related duties as assigned.
