Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Front-of-House Supervisor to join our team at Sam's Taproom!
Sam’s Tap Room & Kitchen is a public bar and restaurant attached to Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company. Serving beer every day from 11 AM—10 PM and food from 11 AM-9 PM. Sam’s offers casual dining in a unique and friendly atmosphere.
Duties:
-Employs fair practices interacting with team members to instill team effort and good workplace morale
-Responsible for inventories, assisting with ordering and supply tracking.
-Works together with other supervisors to ensure proper scheduling, and assure adequate staffing through management of personnel requests such as call-ins and requested time off
-Trains employees to fulfill department goals in specific jobs and maintains company sanitation standards within the facility
-Formulates and follows procedures for opening and closing the bar; including oversight of cash handling procedures.
-Provides oversight of front-of-house operations and provide direction when needed to servers and other front-of-house staff
- Model exceptional customer service by being attentive to guests' needs and ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
- Take orders and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients to answer guests' questions and make recommendations.
- Upsell and suggest specials and promotions to increase sales.
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling practices are followed at all times.
- Manage table assignments and seating to maximize table turns and minimize wait times.
- Utilize POS system to accurately record orders and manage table cash, assisting servers with cash handling procedures.
- Work effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of hospitality and provide a welcoming environment for guests.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Previous management experience in casual dining or a related field is required.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables at once.
- Familiarity with POS systems and hospitality software.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
