Job Description:
The Service Coordinator will be responsible for receiving new service orders and efficiently scheduling local technicians to complete. The Service Coordinator will optimize daily service order schedules, prioritizing emergency calls and solving problems as they arise. This will involve communicating clearly and candidly in a professional and knowledgeable manner throughout the day with customers, 3rd party agents, and SAM Service technicians/personnel. The Service Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring incoming company communications channels for new service orders and inputting all orders into company software and editing as needed. Responsibilities:
- Scheduling service orders in a logical and efficient way to successfully close out service orders and keep customers satisfied.
- Communicate clearly and candidly with a variety of temperaments and personalities to determine the best approach to scheduling service orders and filing customer needs.
- Monitor incoming service orders to determine if they are within a branch’s territory and SAM Service’s niche then accept or deny as needed.
- Cultivate a working knowledge of SAM Service, Inc.’s services, niche, processes, and core values to competently communicate with customers and teammates.
- Understand technician abilities and personalities when assigning service orders and schedules
- Meet or exceed productivity metrics for processing service orders and successfully closing out calls
- Work closely with field leadership to determine problem calls early to be communicated to the customer decision maker
- Work closely with and perform other duties as assigned by the Market Operator
Requirements:
- Experience in dispatching or scheduling service is required.
- Problem-solving skills and time-management skills are a plus.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and temperaments, while maintaining a professional and knowledgeable demeanor.
- Knowledge and use of information technology such as computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.
- Applicants must be able to stay calm and collected as emergency service orders and issues arise.
- Prospective employees must pass a drug-screening before hiring. SAM Service, Inc. employees must submit to random drug screening.
- Above all, an applicant must have the ability and desire to learn new technology, training, and procedures.
