S.A.M Singapore Math of South Windsor CT is an established learning center that provides math enrichment program to students from age 4-12 years old. As the largest Singapore Math enrichment program in the world, S.A.M’s multi-award-winning Singapore Math enrichment program has served students in more than 200 centers in 20 countries. Our mission is to help students to enjoy and excel in Math and prepare for future.
Our S.A.E Program is designed to take learners from basic motor skills through to advanced reading comprehension and writing abilities. It follows a carefully structured progression, starting with Early Skills (ES) for very young children and advancing through Early Vocabulary (EV), Transition (T), and Developing Understanding (DU) stages.
The program uses a synthetic phonics approach, particularly in the Early Vocabulary modules, which aligns with current educational thinking. This method helps students blend sounds smoothly to build syllables and words. The program integrates various aspects of language learning, including reading, spelling, handwriting, grammar, and punctuation. This holistic approach ensures that students develop a well-rounded set of English language skills
We are looking for part-time trainers who enjoy and are experienced working with children. We provide online and onsite training, ongoing support and career advancement opportunity. We value our teachers who are the cornerstone to achieve our mission.
The trainers uses the existing curriculum to guide students on the individualized learning plan in small group setting, maintains regular communication with the director about the instruction and student progress, and contributes to the effective operation of the overall English program.
Available Working hours:
Monday 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM and/or
Tuesday 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM and/or
Wednesday 4:00 PM -7:00 PM and/or
Thursday 4:30 PM -7:00 PM and/or
Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Start date: April 2025 or later
Location: South Windsor, CT
Primary duties involve:
· To coach students from age 4-12 years old and guide them to learn English and Language Arts using the established curriculum
· To grade student’s homework
· To communicate with the director and/or parents on a regular basis about student progress
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree
· Competent in English and Language Arts
· Experience working with children
· Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
· Cheerful and passionate to work with children
· Strong organization skills and a good team player
· Able to work on evenings and/or weekends
· Prior teaching experience is preferred
· Authorization to work in U.S.
