Position Title: Development Director
Reports To: CEO/President
The Development Director is appointed by the CEO and tasked with enhancing the center’s community presence through strategic marketing, effective fundraising, program and service development, and educational initiatives. This position is responsible for nurturing relationships that will increase the center’s donor-base, business partnerships and garner overall support.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
· Maintaining database of donors and partners
· Communication/building relationships with donors
· Chair/Oversee Major Fundraiser. Example: Not So Newlywed Game
· Coordinate Center Open House Sessions and Follow Up Networking
· Manage Annual Giving Letter Campaign
· Assist in gathering information for grant applications and reporting.
· Nurturing relationships with donors, partners and related agencies.
o Phone andface to face conversations with community partners and donors
· Working with staff in gathering statistical data and evaluations.
· Planning and implementing program and marketing development.
· TV, Newspaper, Social Media Marketing
· Program Services and Donor Giving
· Assists with marketing of clinical services for programs
· Planning and coordinating the Center’s marketing and public relations strategy:
· Includes but not limited to social media, news media, business communication
· Representing the Center as a community liaison for collaborative efforts with area agencies, organizations and businesses.
· Establish and maintain partnerships to create and enhance program development and delivery.
o Partnerships with medical referrals
o Delivery/Face to face marketing
· Maintaining active relationships with members of the media.
o Increase TV, radio, newspaper presence
o Works as a member of the executive team and Board to develop and implement marketing strategies
· Research and suggest strategies to increase center revenue through donors, fundraising and programs
· Major fundraising (Not So Newlywed Game) revenue, Open House Campaign, Annual Giving Campaign, additionalfunding opportunities
· Representing the Center as the Mental Health Support / Stigma Reduction Advocate throughout the community.
· Liaison speaking engagements by Center staff members and volunteers
· Create and maintain monthly newsletter
· Preparing and reviewing all press releases, photographs, brochures, flyers, announcements, and interviews distributed by the Center
· Assisting in the development of Center brochures and reports
· Speaking on behalf of the Center
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fundraising and development within a nonprofit environment
- Ability to manage relationships and engage with stakeholders effectively
- Experience in event planning
