Samaritan Health Services a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a Primary Care Medical Director to join our team in Albany, OR.
This position is 70% clinical and 30% administrative. Responsible for providing physician leadership in areas of Customer Experience, Growth, Performance, Communications, Physician / Hospital Relationships, Community Engagement and Quality. Assists with development and execution of SMG goals. Works in collaboration with the assigned dyad-administrative Director.
Job Specifics
- Serves as primary point of information and contact for SMG Administration in their department(s) and / or region; to include all Samaritan sites and hospitals. Serves on quality and operations committees, as needed. Meets periodically with clinicians, practice managers, and hospital leadership. Acts as a spokesperson and leader for SMG.
- In collaboration with the Director, assists in defining and implementing action plans for realization of SMG goals and strategy.
- In coordination with the Director, establishes goals for individual performance, and performance of the department / (s) and / or region. These may include productivity, finance, budget performance, outreach, and other metrics. Monitors performance dashboards for the department(s) and / or region and works with the Director to establish action plans for all areas noted to be deficient.
- Ensures clinician staffing and call coverage for all areas of responsibility. Empowered to direct staffing, coverage and resources as situations and performance direct. Leads the development and nurturing of relationships with referral MDs, hospital administrators and other sources within the department(s) and / or region.
