Samaritan Health Services a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a Primary Care Medical Director to join our team in Newport, OR.
Job Specifics
- Serves as primary point of information and contact for SMG Administration in their department(s) and/or region; to include all Samaritan sites and hospitals. Serves on quality and operations committees, as needed. Meets periodically with clinicians, practice managers, and hospital leadership. Acts as a spokesperson and leader for SMG.
- In collaboration with the Director, assists in defining and implementing action plans for realization of SMG goals and strategy.
- In coordination with the Director, establishes goals for individual performance, and performance of the department/(s) and/or region.
- In collaboration with the Director, creates a culture of behavior within all SMG that embodies the PRIDE statements and SMG compact.
- Ensures all SMG clinicians and staff are educated on the results of patient, employee and clinician satisfaction surveys. Working with clinicians and practices, develops systems for SMG that actively promote patient satisfaction with SMG clinicians and staff. Monitors
Job Requirements
- Unrestricted licensure or qualified to obtain licensure to practice medicine in the state of Oregon required.
- Management experience (such as serving as a Medical Director or Practice Lead) preferred
- Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- BCLS, CPR, PALS required
- Board certified or board eligible
