What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Writer position at Samaritan Health?
Pay Range $28.00 - $48.20
The Grant Writer is responsible for identifying and procuring grant awards to support ongoing programs and/or create new programs that are consistent with furthering the mission and advancing the strategic plan of Samaritan Medical Center and its affiliates. Oversee the monitoring and documentation of grant activity including timelines, data collection, and financial documentation.
In this role, the Grants Writer is responsible for conducting a full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, corporate, and institutional sources. These activities include researching corporations and foundations to evaluate viable prospects, managing and updating a grants calendar, preparing project budgets,and responding to queries from program and service line directors. Additional activities include the reporting, tracking and compliance requirements required by the grants and agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relative field, Master’s degree preferred
- 5 years’ experience in researching and identifying funding sources and interpreting requests for proposals and funding guidelines in developing budgets for grants and grant writing & fulfillment management preferred.
