JOB DESCRIPTION ELEMENTS
Essential Functions
- Production of accurate and timely financial, statistical and operational information for review and analysis by management, the Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees
- Assist Director of Finance in development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Supervision of accounting and payroll staff
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and underlying schedules
- Reconciliations of general ledger balances to source documentation
- Preparation of and accountability for accounting department budget
- Support of annual fiscal audit
- Calculation and analysis of operational trends based on financial statement information
- Assist Director of Finance with financial analyses as needed
- Assist Director of Finance in development of annual budget
- Monitor daily cash flow into, out of, and between cash accounts, maintaining adequate but not excessive balances
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Education or Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field.
- License/Certification Required: CPA or other applicable certification preferred
- Related Experience and Training Required: 3 to 5 years management experience with progressive accounting experience, healthcare experience preferred
- Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to interact with all levels of associates within organization, knowledge of GAAP, analytical and problem solving skills, management skills
- Machines, Tools, Equipment Operated: Computer, printer, copier, fax, telephone/fax, voicemail and email.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) .
- Preferred knowledge of Sage 100.
- Required Time frame to learn the job once hired: 3-6 months
