Summary:
Working directly under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing purchase orders and shipments through SAP purchase order software. The role also involves communication with both domestic and international suppliers. Additionally, the Purchasing Specialist ensures the flow of relevant information to various departments, including Sales, Accounting, Product Management, and Logistics, and the Warehouse.

· Excellent written and verbal communication for crafting emails, purchase orders, and reports.
· Ability to process high volume correspondence with suppliers, internal and external customers.
· Demonstrates a professional and approachable demeanor, fostering a supportive and respectful work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Ø Managing Purchase Orders
· Generate, review, update, and submit purchase orders using SAP.
· Ensuring accuracy in processing purchase orders, verifying shipments, and managing invoices.
Ø Supplier Communication
· Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm order receipt, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues related to supply or delivery.
· Monitor the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and address any potential delays.
· Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, such as incorrect deliveries, billing issues, or quality concerns.
· Update internal teams on the progress and expected arrival dates of orders, and/or notice of delayed shipments.
Ø Reporting and Documentation
· Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier communication, and inventory levels.
· Run and maintain weekly purchasing reports with both SAP and Microsoft Office.
Ø Internal Support
· Assist with order modifications or cancellations as needed per customer needs.
· Resolves discrepancies in warehouse shipments, including incorrect orders, damaged product, and missing or lost items.
· Works closely with department team members to accomplish daily tasks and cross-train on various responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
