Designs, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates clinical education programs to advance the Samaritan Health Services (SHS) healthcare teams standards of care. Trains and develops staff through the continuum of orientation, competency assessment and development, and ongoing education. Employs evidence-based practice, tools, theories and advanced skills to improve system-wide patient outcomes.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) required upon hire. Applicable graduate degree (Master’s or higher) required within three (3) years of hire.
- Board certification in Nursing Professional Development required within three (3) years of hire.
- Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- If appropriate, ACLS, PALS, and / or other applicable life support certifications required within six (6) months of hire.
- Five (5) years of direct care nursing experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, required.
- Two (2) years of education experience, including assessing, planning, implementing, facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating learning activities, programs, and projects, required.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Critical care (ICU, CICU, PCU, PICU) experience preferred.
