Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. What You'll Do In This Role
- Strategically grow the Broker Dealer Channel based on company needs and goals.
- Develop strong relationships with the new and existing strategic Broker Dealer’s to understand their business models and business needs as well as how the BDs conduct business and determine how SIG can help support their business needs.
- Perform periodic on-site distributor visits and other travel approximately 10%-20% of the time to identify opportunities to improve service. Present to the BDs updates on projects in the pipeline, discuss services we are providing them and discuss any concerns/issues and then let them know what further services we can offer to support their business.
- Work with Broker Dealers on technology day to day needs including, but not limited to DST, DTCC & Order Entry Platforms to understand and enhance the annuity and mutual fund application process.
- Coordinate product launches and periodic testing to meet the Broker Dealer’s needs to ensure business can be accepted. This review ensures we can accept orders from the BDs and approve their advisors to sell new products.
- Review and update operations guidelines to ensure they are in line with the Broker Dealer’s needs and make recommendations for updates as appropriate. Responsible for oversight of the guidelines with Se2.
- Provide internal education and support regarding Broker Dealer industry and operational processes (ie training, Q & A).
- Provide Operational and Technological support to Sales Desk and RVPs.
- Work with the Delivery team to ensure projects are created and prioritized based on the Broker Dealer’s needs.
- Work with the Business Development operations team to ensure cases from assigned broker dealers are handled to their satisfaction. Monitor case reports for trends to identify areas of improvement.
- Periodically participate in industry initiatives to drive the SIG brand and priorities.
- Interact with third party vendors such as DST, NSCC, Se2 and others to obtain information and provide guidance to resolve issues.
- Actively organize and prioritize key contacts with BD distribution partners based on sales and potential future sales. This is determined by reviewing BDs current sales, potential for future sales, number of advisors, what products their sales are focused on and any acquisitions they are looking at. Crucial to stay current and understand how these factors impact our relationships with the BDs.
- Keep management abreast of industry trends and changes.
- Keep Business Development Sales Managers abreast of trends and changes within the Broker Dealer’s operations area.
- 3-5 years' Insurance and Securities industry experience Preferred
- 3-5 years' operations experience Required
- Working knowledge of NSCC & DST file Layouts
- Knowledge of Order Entry platforms through Ebix (ANW & AN4), Ipipeline (Aplifi) and Insurance Technologies (Firelight)
- Exemplary phone skills with a service and problem resolution base
- Strong organization skills with emphasis on prioritization
- Ability to handle numerous tasks effectively at the same time
- Strong customer relationship management and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities

- Familiar with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Series License-6 or Series License-7 or ability to obtain within 120 Days Required
- Series License-63 or ability to obtain within 120 Days Required
- Iowa Insurance license or ability to obtain within 120 Days Required
- Due to the financial nature and level of accountability of this position, a credit and criminal background check is required.
- FINRA regulations require fingerprinting for this position.
