What You Can Expect In This Role
Provide leadership and direction for key strategic initiatives and partner with senior leadership to manage company priorities across Sammons Financial Group Companies. Provide highly cross-functional leadership to drive the strategic decision-making that defines the operational strategy. Lead and facilitate high-priority projects and initiatives focusing on strategic outcomes and calculated risk-taking and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Oversee and optimize operational functions to ensure smooth and efficient business processes.
What You'll Do In This Role
- Collaborate with cross-functional senior executive leaders to align on initiatives and foster cohesive execution. Act as a liaison across teams to ensure alignment and coordination across key stakeholders and teams.
- Drive organizational initiatives and strategic projects to successful outcomes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Guide and consult with teams during the strategic planning process.
- Identify and address potential risks and challenges with innovative solutions.
- Facilitate and support cross-departmental communication, ensuring swift yet strategic decision-making and clear priority alignment.
- Prepare detailed briefing materials, reports, and presentations for executive meetings, key customers, and decision-making processes.
- Provide recommendations for strategic agenda items for key meetings via the creation of business cases, evaluation of alternatives, and actions required to implement.
- Serve as a decisive liaison between the executive team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
- Own, enhance, and operate the Shared Services analytics and metrics program. Coordinate cross-functional teams such as Product, Finance, Marketing, IT, and Legal across the company to successfully deliver defined service objectives.
- Engage with key customers and partners to gather feedback and insights that drive continuous improvement in Shared Services.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for operational improvements.
- Utilize a foundational understanding of financial principles to support budget management and financial reporting accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with finance teams to track financial performance and assist in developing financial strategies.
- Monitor and report on the organization's financial health.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability within the team and across the organization.
- Drive and reinforce commitment to internal controls processes such as those under Model Audit Rule and Record Information Management.

Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position.
