Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a child related field
- Proven experience in managing staff and a stellar record of fair labor practices
- A desire to lead a purposeful life that includes children with special needs
- Ability to manage a stress associated with maintaining a high level of quality care and accreditation
- Ability to oversee children with medical conditions
- Ability to differentiate curriculum
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to sit on floor, stoop, kneel and crouch, use hands, arms, fingers for typing, reaching and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must have good attendance
- Experience with office management tools (MS Office software, in particular)
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of a child development center
- Oversee classrooms with children with special needs
- Staff training
- Responsibilities may include classroom substitution, teacher support, and administrative tasks
