Starting Wages: $17-$19 depending on qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Foster effective communication with parents regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured play and educational activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and address individual learning needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the classroom.
- Ability to sit on floor, stoop, kneel and crouch, use hands, arms, fingers for typing, reaching and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Required minimum of 4 years of post-secondary education, 4 years of classroom experience in an early childhood setting, or a combination of both.
- Proven experience in classroom management and childcare.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with young children.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood development principles.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies.
- Preferred experience: at least 1 year of experience with special needs or medically fragile children.
