Duties
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children.
Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
Foster effective communication with parents regarding children's progress and well-being.
Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured play and educational activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and address individual learning needs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the classroom.
Ability to sit on floor, stoop, kneel and crouch, use hands, arms, fingers for typing, reaching and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Required minimum of 4 years of post-secondary education, 4 years of classroom experience in an early childhood setting, or a combination of both.
Proven experience in classroom management and childcare.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with young children.
Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood development principles.
Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education.
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies.
Preferred experience : at least 1 year of experience with special needs or medically fragile children.
