School-based Mental Health Clinician
Qualifications :
- A masters degree in mental health counseling or social work
- Have one of the following active NC clinical license
o Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
o Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Associate (LCMHC-A)
o Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
o Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A)
including, but not limited to, knowledge regarding entrance and discharge criteria for mental
health services available in the Partners' catchment area
Reports to : Project ACTIVATE Coordinator
Evaluation Procedures : Evaluated according to the North Carolina evaluation system
Performance Responsibilities :
and threat assessments for the school district
following district protocols
supplemental and intensive interventions
interventions preferably on a weekly basis, but a minimum of once per month.
awareness of mental health methodologies and issues such as : Community Resiliency Model
CRM), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), Teen Mental Health First Aid (TYMHFA), and
Question, Persuade and Respond (QPR), etc. School-based Mental Health Clinician will
complete and maintain instructor certification as assigned.
