School-Based Instructional Coach Job Description
Role : Work closely with the Middle School Director, school administrators, and curriculum & instructional specialists to increase student engagement, improve student achievement, and build teacher capacity. Must be able to lead collaborative team workshops, grade-level teacher learning team cycles, and one-on-one coaching rounds. Coaches must understand the district curriculum goals, be able to analyze student data, and help teachers identify instructional needs.
Salary : 10 month Teacher Salary as designated by NCDPI teaching schedule.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
- Current North Carolina Teaching License
- Demonstrated knowledge of North Carolina content standards
- Experience in researched-based instructional practices
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for teachers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills, and efficiency in meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to function as a positive collaborative member of a team
- Demonstrated interest and engagement in professional learning and reflection
