Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring an Environmental Services Supervisor to join the Environmental Services team!
Description:
The Environmental Services Supervisor is a professional who plans, directs, facilitates, and coordinates the operational activities of assigned areas of responsibility in the Environmental Services Department. This position supports the daily responsibilities of the Environmental Services Manager. The EVS Supervisor will conduct department huddles to discuss facility activities and safety issues, collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to provide great service, train new housekeeping staff, and assist the department manager in coordinating staff assignments and trainings.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Three (3) years of progressive experience in healthcare Environmental Services with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.
- Hazardous Waste training required within 90 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must have ability to plan, organize, and direct the management activities of the EVS department.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulatory requirements governing the operations of health care facilities.
- Good verbal communication.
- Ability to use initiative, judgment, and creativity in fulfilling responsibilities.
Hours:
Evening Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm; 40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required. May be required to work other hours for the effective operation of the department.
