Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, hospitality oriented Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in commercial cleaning and environmental services, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. The Environmental Services Supervisor will oversee housekeepers, laundry and custodial staff, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, and support cleaning policies already in place.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the environmental services team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and hospitality.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to established procedures.
- Train and mentor staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety practices.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to address specific cleaning needs or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or environmental services, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to sanitation and workplace safety.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with housekeeping practices, including floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, management, and other departments.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet the demands of the facility.
