This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who can develop and execute plans to grow sales within a specific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sales team, building relationships with distributors and customers, and identifying opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of sales plans.
- Customer Relationships and Distribution:
- BUILD and maintain strong relationships with distributors, field sales reps, and District Managers.
- Secure adequate distribution channels within the region to ensure proper coverage and market penetration.
- Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Hire and retain top sales talent for the region.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and submit weekly sales/activity and expense reports for direct supervisors.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Requirements:
- A high school education is required; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, is preferred.
- Two years of experience in the lubrication industry and/or automotive aftermarket are preferred.
- A strong background in selling to and through distribution is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- A valid driver's license is required.
