General Job Description:
This position is responsible for filling pillows and cushions using various methods including filling machines, tools, or by hand while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Universal’s policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
Operate cushion fill machine.
Ensure production floor is stocked with cushions for orders.
Fills pillows and cushions with materials according to order details.
Ability to estimate amount of filler blown into cover by either timing blower or weighing pillows or cushions.
Ability to stuff covers by hand when needed.
Receives supplier deliveries.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Previous work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to meet production goals.
Must have effective communications skills and be able to work in a team
