Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employee’s growth within the role. The full range for this position is $52,000 (min) - $76,000 (max) annually.

- Champion safe behaviors at all levels of the company and reinforce safety policies and procedures. Ensure safety practices are in compliance with all regulatory agencies and assist with audits as required by the position.
- Identify and review conditions that could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluate the potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents and make recommendations on programs, policies or procedures.
- Act as a liaison for production / post production / warehouse / maintenance / office to execute safety related projects.
- Coordinate and facilitate relevant safety training programs, inspections, and testing.
- Lead incident investigations and ensures accuracy and completeness of incidents reports. Partner with 3rd party administrators to manage Workers Compensation claims, return to work, investigations and hearings.
- Maintain safety metrics and complete regulatory reports (i.e., OSHA 300). Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Support SOP development and/or maintenance. Support continuous process improvement programs and LEAN initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in safety
- Desired: Associates Degree in a field related to manufacturing or health and safety.
- Required: Minimum of two years experience as a safety coordinator or on a safety team.
- Desired: Safety experience in manufacturing. Lean Manufacturing processes
