Role And Responsibilities
- Oversee Incoming Quality Control daily operations as an Area Lead
- Assist IQC Supervisor on supervising and implementing processes, inspection standards to maintain a consistent quality, and implement corrective actions
- Perform inspection and test the required scope and product features to achieve the product quality according to drawings and specifications, mainly for the global sourcing vendors.
- Allocate resources to ensure IQC mission is met
- Prepare technical reports on quality issues.
- Managing KPIs and tasks, including, but not limited to, ECN, QTR&CMR, inspection result, SRAD, and etc.
- Develop Quality Training for internal QC employees.
- Assist IQC supervisor on supervision of IQC inspectors for daily operation related tasks, setting schedule, prioritizing incoming inspections from SQCI to meet 24-hour rule, Verification of part approval, and etc.
- Create and share daily incoming inspection reports
- Be an advocate for proactive safety and safety procedures, while ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all equipment and use of required Personal Protective Equipment in the area of responsibility
- Engage in honest, open and factual communications in a professional manner
- Demonstrate alignment with Samsung’s values and philosophies
- All other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management within the scope of quality related works
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Six months of previous quality experience working in a manufacturing environment required. Experience with testing and measuring equipment (Caliper, micrometers, height gauge, tensile, hardness gauges, and etc.).
- Knowledge: Proficient in standard office software including MS Office. Must be able to read and write in English
- Skills: Must be able to stand up for 8 to 10 hours a day, plus additional overtime as needed. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 35 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Flexible work availability and able to work overtime as needed with same-day notice. Strong problem-solving ability (Root Cause Analysis). Good verbal and written communication skills.
