Role And Responsibilities
Primary areas of responsibility include
- Strategic Vision Development & Alignment (with support from the VP and Team Leadership): Lead, develop and execute company’s long term strategic plans. Also, conduct comprehensive analysis to ensure strategic plans are aligned with market demands and company’s objectives.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to identify strategic opportunities and threats. Also, provide insights into new business model innovation that can give Samsung competitive edge.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee the development of strategic plans, including short-term objectives and long-term goals, ensuring they support the overall corporate vision.
- Merger & Acquisition Due Diligence: Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential M&A opportunities that align with strategic goals. Manage due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions.
- Strategic Opportunity/Project Initiative Development: identify, evaluate, and develop new market opportunities and business models to drive growth; spearhead creation of strategic business cases; Oversee development of strategic projects from inception to execution, facilitating cross-divisional collaborations and ensuring they meet strategic goals
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions when new strategies are implemented, addressing cultural and operational shifts.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor strategy execution. Regularly review performance against strategic objectives and adjust plans as necessary.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Finance, HR, Operations) to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated across the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate strategic direction to the board of directors, executive team, and other key stakeholders. Facilitate buy-in and alignment on strategic priorities.
- Innovation Management: Promote a culture of innovation by fostering environments where new ideas can be tested and scaled. Ensure the company stays at the forefront of industry trends.
- Risk Management: Identify strategic risks and develop mitigation plans. Ensure that strategic decisions consider potential risks and their impacts.
- Strategic Partnership Development & CEO Networking Support: Build and nurture a network of external experts and C-level executives to bring innovative ideas and business opportunity/partnerships to Samsung. Identify, develop and manage Chief Executive level network in support of Samsung’s North America CEO in the U.S. market.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader within the company, advocating for strategic thinking and innovation; present strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership and external customers/partners; develop overarching strategy and business analysis and presentations for the top management meetings.
- Strategic Meeting & Presentation Support: work with the leadership to prepare top management and cross-divisional level meetings and workshops including preparation of the agenda, presentation preparation, including all necessary back up analysis.
- Customer Experience: Continuously look for ways to enhance the Samsung’s customer experience through strategic decisions, whether through product enhancements, service offerings, or retail strategy.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 15 years of directly related experience is required. Including, but not limited to strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making.
- MBA preferred
- Must have a strong working knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, marketing, supply chain, and operations
- Experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, globally and up & down an organization
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly
- Experience collaborating with senior executives across a large organization
- Experience leading innovation initiatives that create real world impact, including expertise in design thinking, consumer insights, experimentation, and user experience in a corporate and environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Sophistication in communications, interpersonal relations and diplomacy.
