Role Overview:
The Vice President, Applied Sales will be responsible for providing strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in the areas of HVAC Commercial sales. Assist existing HVAC Spec Reps, Hybrid Distributors and Mechanical Contractors growth and development. Establish strategies for short and long-term initiatives to increase sales. This position provides supervisory leadership to Regional Sales Directors and reports to the CEO and performs all duties within Samsung Lennox HVAC ’s policies and ethical standards.

Key Role Focuses:
  • Responsible for actively working with Regional Sales Directors on developing, maintaining, and adjusting sales plans, target accounts, and key account assignments, while ensuring that Samsung Lennox HVAC ’s internal tracking systems are kept up to date
  • Select, train, supervise and evaluate Regional Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers while developing, implementing, tracking, and reporting sales growth plan based on programs, target account opportunities, project tracking and planning
  • Conduct face to-face meetings with customers, spec reps, and sales team to promote company products and services including building relationships internally and externally, and working with spec reps and hybrid distributor principals in establishing criteria and potential locations for expansion, while traveling to work trade shows, open houses, and other promotions as needed
  • Assist in planning, forecasting, and reporting to Samsung Lennox HVAC senior leaders while understanding the pricing dynamics in the assigned market to ensure we are well priced in the marketplace
  • Liaison between major accounts and Samsung Lennox HVAC, communicating with departments to ensure customer concerns and problems are solved immediately and exceeding customer expectations

Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relatable HVAC/Ductless sales experience required and previous executive leadership preferred where effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade were critical to success
  • Proficient sales skills with broad knowledge of sales forecasting and sales call planning
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, persuasion, diplomatic, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (creating and driving presentations weekly)
  • Advanced Excel skills for manual report creation (pivot tables and vlook up proficiency required)
  • Prior experience with CRM (to draft reports and forecasting)
  • Excellent creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative product strategies
  • Advanced leadership skills to provide clear, credible vision and strategy; inspires others to follow
  • Analytic and decisive decision making capability with the ability to prioritize and communicate objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
  • The ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment
  • The ability to coach, develop, mentor, and motivate staff. Ensure staff receives adequate training to maintain their level of competency (leadership development skills)
  • The ability to ensure compliance with all internal and external management and regulatory controls
  • Project management skills: ability to successfully integrate agile project management methodologies into existing methodologies
  • The ability to lift, move, or adjust general office equipment, boxes, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures
  • Individual must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time as needed (domestic and international)
