Role Overview:
Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Applications Representative role is responsible for providing technical, applications, pre-sales and quotation assistance to direct customers and the Sales Department. This will involve identifying and providing solutions for all technical issues during the sales process and working with the Technical Services Department, Project Managers, contractors, Product Managers and Construction Engineers to provide, product modifications, testing of current products, design product improvements of existing products, recommend new products or modification of current products, and provide system troubleshooting support.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and driving the technical evaluation stage of the sales process providing solutions and recommendations supporting the Applied Sales Managers
- Proactively contact customers to find out what they want, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process
- Educates and trains distributors on Samsung Lennox HVAC products
- Provides occasional troubleshooting support to the Technical Services Department & Identifies and provides solutions for all technical issues during the applications process
- Collaborating with Product team and heavily with the sales team
- Will provide both technical and administrative support
- Will interact with leadership in Korea by video conferences and meetings on occasion
- Will create and maintain bulletins for the company (applications bulletins covering basic application related things, service and corporate bulletins) — supplements to installations and service manuals
Qualification Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (HVAC or Engineering related a plus)
- A minimum of 5 years of field-based HVAC experience including but not limited to installs, service, controls, customer interactions, quotes
- VRF experience, testing or lab work experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of HVAC applications and utilization techniques
- Able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Has general knowledge of construction, construction processes and HVAC products
- Strong attention to detail and capable of identifying and communicating risks and problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP for reporting)
