POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Controls Professional will be responsible for providing high quality project controls services, managing costs with regard to all aspects of cost management for the assigned project or team. Duties include developing project estimates, budgets, schedules, change management, forecasts, progress tracking, cashflow and manpower requirements.
Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Must be able to follow specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines.
Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
Contacts are primarily with direct supervisors and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Project Controls Professional Intern
- Works closely with a member of the team to develop knowledge and skillset
- Learns and mimics the Company’s Best Practices for projects and processes
- Assists on simple project controls concepts with oversight from a mentor
Project Controls Professional IV
- Works closely with members of the team and assists in project and company reporting
- Implements and utilizes the Company’s Best Practices for projects and processes
- Has a working knowledge of project controls terminology and systems
Project Controls Professional III
- Prepares cost reports and provides regular updates to project teams on cost tracking and performance with minimal oversight
- Works closely with members of the department to develop project schedules and understand project life cycles
- Prepares engineering estimates with minimal oversight
- Liaise with engineering personnel regarding scope, changes, trends, forecasts etc.
Project Controls Professional II
- Prepares cost reports independently with a clear understanding of project scope to recognize trends and forecasts
- Full working knowledge of project controls terminology and project work flow
- Works closely with project managers to report project status and trends
- Works independently to develop project schedules with minimal oversight on schedule sequence and updates
- Easily identifies scope changes and develops change notices/requests
Project Controls Professional I
- Performs cost management activities independently with full working knowledge of earned value management and productivity
- Acts independently in all job functions with ability to work in a lead role on project teams
- Communicates clear project progress and performance to internal team and external client
- Full project schedule capabilities with respect to development, progress and forecasts
- Works as a mentor to other department members
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL
- Project Controls Professional Intern – Junior or Senior Year at Accredited University
- Project Controls Professional IV – Bachelor’s or equivalent
- Project Controls Professional III - Bachelor's or equivalent; two (2) years of experience
- Project Controls Professional II - Bachelor's or equivalent; four (4) years of experience
- Project Controls Professional I - Bachelor's or equivalent; six (6) years of experience
