Role Summary
As a Project Developer, you will lead the development of renewable energy and storage projects in the U.S., ensuring they achieve "Ready to Build" status. Your expertise will drive the permitting and authorization process while managing service providers and maintaining regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in renewable energy development and excels at managing complex stakeholder relationships. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new renewable energy project development opportunities, assessing their technical, financial, and regulatory feasibility.
- Oversee the permitting and authorization processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and key stakeholders to streamline project approvals.
- Manage service providers involved in project development, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Provide clear and concise updates to management and clients on project progress and outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development in U.S. electricity markets.
- Extensive knowledge of permitting, authorizations, and regulatory frameworks for renewable energy projects.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate with regulatory bodies and other partners.
- Proven experience managing service providers and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an analytical mindset for problem-solving.
