Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to read work orders, follow instructions provided by the Foreman and/or Head Stretcher, and handle material to feed into the trail stretching machine and communicate effective with the head stretcher to be successful.
- Read measuring tools and use them successfully.
- Read prints, when necessary and check requirements throughout the order run.
- Help batching material by folding and preparing material for saw to cut.
- Folding and stacking when needed.
- Back up head stretch position when needed.
- Conduct visual inspection of material checking for, flow lines, cracks, breakage, dents, humps etc.
- Serve as a run out operator when necessary and support other functions of the press team when needed.
- 5S- clean as you go, end of shift cleanup and Hazardous waste accumulation area training.
- Must adhere to quality processes including in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Correctly interpret work orders and verify documentation.
- Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform visual inspection to verify no defects or damage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisor or manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Machine Operator and Metal Extrusion experience
The base hourly pay range for this position is $20.63 - 22.80. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
