Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of Quality Technicians, promoting a high-performing team culture.
- Define and drive the testing strategy and ensure its successful execution across all projects.
- Allocate tasks and resources, track team progress, and ensure on-time project delivery.
- Provide feedback and training to production staff on quality procedures and standards, ensuring proper understanding of quality expectations.
- Test Planning & Execution:
- Observing and analyzing manufacturing processes to identify potential quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Execute manual and automated tests to ensure that products meet the required standards.
- Identify, track, and report defects/bugs, working with operations and engineering to ensure timely resolution.
- Process Improvement:
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve QA processes.
- Working closely with production teams, engineers, and management to identify and address quality concerns. Identify areas for continuous improvement and improve testing and production scrap accuracy.
- Conduct regular quality audits to ensure adherence to company quality management systems, industry standards, and safety standards.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide clear, concise, and timely reports on testing progress, issues, scrap, and test results to stakeholders and management.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans, including data analysis and reporting to management.
- Investigating quality issues to determine underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate project planning to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Communicate defects, test results, and quality metrics to ensure transparency with the operation team and management.
- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Quality Department but frequently exposed to light manufacturing conditions and extreme temperatures.
- Steel toed boots, hard hat, cut resistant sleeves, safety glasses and earplugs are required when present on the manufacturing floor.
- Traveling may be required for customer visits.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree or higher preferred, and/or 2-3 years of inventory or quality experience.
- Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to create spreadsheets, and evaluation reports
