- Competitive wages. The base annual salary range for this position is $73,780 - $115,940. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. SUMMARY & SCOPE: As our Outside sales Representative, you will be accountable for increasing revenues and profitability through account maintenance and development within a designated territory to achieve desired metrics annually for a metal service center dealing in aluminum, stainless and various alloys in Plate, Sheet, Bar & Long products in Southern Idaho/Utah/Denver, CO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New account development.
- Existing account maintenance.
- Margin Realization.
- Hitting targeted sales and tonnage goals on an annual basis.
- Provide forecasts for budgeting purposes.
- Develop assigned territory to uncover every possible sales opportunity.
- Conduct on site sales presentations.
- Develop key relationships with all key decision makers within existing and prospective customer base.
- Provide value added opportunities to both the customer and Samuel organization.
- Grow existing customer business by introducing new products and services and can sell the value in the services we provide.
- Responsible for customer inventory management.
- Educate customers by providing market relevant information to help with their business decisions.
- Maintain quality service by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards.
- Attending trade shows / conferences within the assigned territory.
- Develop sales skills and product knowledge through education, including meetings and trainings, and seminars.
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree or equivalent minimum 2 years Sales experience required.
- Experience in the metals industry is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Good organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be a self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to function effectively in a team oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, communicate and solve problems.
- Must be willing to travel up to 40 percent of the time.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Computers, and software such as, (Excel, Word, AS400, Microsoft Outlook, phones, company documentation) etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to safely visit and evaluate the production facility which may include climbing stairs, wearing required PPE, following safety local safety protocols, standing, stooping for extended periods of time.
