Responsibilities
- Direct all air compliance for SCAQMD requirements.
- Direct all wastewater requirements.
- Direct all stormwater requirements.
- Direct all CUPA requirements.
- Maintain all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to the appropriate agencies.
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections and address any non-compliance with the management team.
- Participate in capital projects for significant environmental projects.
- Handle environmental inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Renew environmental permits as needed.
- Provide environmental training to plant and management personnel.
- Provide guidance and structure to the Environmental Specialist.
- Participate in driving cost-cutting projects.
- Maintain organized environmental documentation.
- Ability to spend quality time on production floor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in Environmental or related field.
- Five years of related experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing required.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of SCAMQD requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
The annual base salary range for this position is $98,160 - $134,970. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
