Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies.
- Organize and schedule truckloads with Samuel carriers and customers.
- Monitor shop order progress to create daily and next day shipping lists.
- Prepare daily shipping paperwork and lists using computer and manual forms.
- Pick stock shipments.
- Close out shipping bills.
- Communicate with Sales, Customers and Logistics companies as needed.
- Assist in maintaining product inventory counts at predetermined times of the year.
- Load planning for truckload and LTL shipments and Target Freight, and maintain good working relationships with freight suppliers.
- Responsible for sets of major customers as assigned by Production Manager or Shipping Manager.
- Be able to attend weekly production meetings scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays.

- As a Samuel employee, you are required to understand the ISO system and the elements that effects the job.
- Assigns shipping tasks to the Finishing production coordinator as needed.
