What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Resident position at Samuel U Rodgers Health Center Inc?
The Nurse Practitioner Resident (NP-R) is a registered nurse practitioner who has successfully graduated from an accredited graduate nurse practitioner program within the past 18 months and has not yet been employed in a provider role. and has been in practice for less than 18 months. The NP-R will be part of the 12-month nurse practitioner residency program providing primary care to patients in our health center in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the health care team. The NP-R will participate in precepted clinic, mentored clinic, specialty clinic rotations, and didactic sessions throughout the 12-month program.
The NP-R will grow in their clinical practice and move from novice provider to seeing a full panel of patients by the end of the program. The NP-R maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical/psychosocial assessment, and management of health and illness in the care of individuals.
The NP-R will work in collaboration with our healthcare team to provide high-quality care to our patients while receiving supervised training and mentorship.
