What are the responsibilities and job description for the Philanthropy Program Director position at Samueli Foundation?
We are seeking a highly experienced Philanthropy Program Director to lead our grants management function. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this individual will work closely with Foundation staff and key contacts within the family office to drive growth and excellence in grantmaking practices.
This role requires a deep understanding of grantmaking policies and practices, as well as excellent change management skills. The successful candidate will develop and implement new approaches to grantmaking, establish a culture of continuous improvement, and promote a collaborative team environment.
The Philanthropy Program Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-and post-award grant activities, including supporting the full lifecycle of grants, from application through approval, payment, reporting, amendments, and closeout. They will also review grants for compliance with IRS regulations and Foundation requirements, and coordinate with the finance department to process grant payments.
