Job Summary :
Join the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) as an Education Department Volunteer, an unpaid position open to adults of all ages, including college students and beyond. Volunteers are needed especially to assist in the facilitation of art classes at Haven for Hope. No professional skills are required, making this an inclusive opportunity for those with a passion for art and education.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Assist the Education Department in preparing and executing classroom activities, such as art classes for women and children at Haven for Hope.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to program participants, offering activity guidance and encouragement.
- Participate in a range of events and activities hosted by SAMA (including Family Days, outdoor film screenings, and other large-scale activations), contributing to the overall success of the Museum's educational programs.
- Assist in maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring that the space is conducive to learning.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on program guidelines and objectives.
