Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
- Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate patient information is maintained.
- Perform X-ray imaging and assist with the use of a 3D scanner for treatment planning.
- Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing software such as Open Dental or similar.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care in both orthodontic and pediatric dentistry settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an orthodontic dental assistant is preferred; familiarity with orthodontic procedures is a plus.
- Proficient in taking vital signs, performing X-rays, and using 3D scanning technology.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management and general dentistry practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
