San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) is dedicated to saving the lives of at-risk cats and dogs in our community. We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media & Content Coordinator to help expand our mission through engaging digital content and event support. Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Coordinator will be responsible for managing SAPA!'s social media presence, creating compelling content, engaging with our online community, and capturing meaningful moments at our events. This role will also provide marketing support for fundraising efforts and assist the development team in promoting events.
Key Responsibilities
· Social Media Management & Engagement
· Manage and create content for SAPA!'s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
· Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster an active community.
· Monitor social media trends and implement strategies to increase reach and engagement.
· Content Creation & Photography
· Capture high-quality photos and videos at SAPA! events, adoption days, and shelters.
· Edit and produce engaging content that tells the story of SAPA!’s lifesaving mission.
· Create short-form videos, reels, and other dynamic content for social media.
· Graphic Design & Marketing Support
· Design simple graphics for flyers, event promotions, and social media (not required but a plus).
· Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Events on campaign strategies.
· Assist with email marketing and newsletters as needed.
Event & Fundraising Support
· Work closely with the Development team to support fundraising events and campaigns.
· Capture event photography and behind-the-scenes content for promotional use.
· Help coordinate marketing materials and event-related social media coverage.
Qualifications
· Passion for animal welfare and SAPA!’s mission.
· Experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
· Strong photography and video skills (owning a camera is a plus).
· Some experience with graphic design (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools is a bonus).
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a team.
· Comfortable attending and capturing content at events, sometimes on weekends. Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus!)
· Experience in nonprofit marketing or fundraising.
· Knowledge of social media analytics and performance tracking.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
