Under the supervision of the Regional Occupational Program (ROP) Program Manager, the ROP Instructor for Health Science and Medical Technology will provide specialized instruction to adult learners, preparing them for careers in health-related fields. The teacher will combine practical skills and academic knowledge to ensure students are ready to enter or advance in healthcare and medical roles while facilitating work-based learning and increasing employment opportunities. The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. We are committed to working with our school districts, other agencies, families and the community at large by providing services, information and leadership, always with a focus on students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Possession of a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE)
Teaching Credential that authorizes the teaching of Health Science and Medical Technology, -OR-
the ability to obtain a credential that authorizes the teaching
of Health Science and Medical Technology;
• Three (3) years of experience in the healthcare field of which one (1) year must have been
within the last five (5) years (from application deadline date and must be demonstrated within
your application packet);
