The Sheriff's Department is recruiting Experienced Communications Dispatchers to dispatch and maintain continuous communication with emergency units in the field. Positions are primarily located at the Valley Control Center in Rialto and the Desert Control Center in Hesperia. Each center serves as the primary 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for its respective geographic location. Multiple vacancies exist at both locations.

3) Shifts: Applicants must be available for all shifts; incumbents will be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings, including mandatory overtime; refusal of assigned shift may result in removal from the list or termination. Shift differential is available.
4) Availability: This department is a "24/7" operation, and the incumbent can expect to work rotating, night, weekend, day, and graveyard shifts, as well as holidays and weekends.

CERTIFICATION | California P.O.S.T. Public Safety Dispatcher Basic Certificate. |
EXPERIENCE | One (1) year of emergency dispatching experience with a law enforcement agency. |
- 40-hour Computer-aided Dispatching System Training Course Certificate
- Department of Justice certified CLETS course
- Department of Justice certified DMV course
- Emergency dispatching experience with a law enforcement agency within the past five (5) years.
