Job Summary:
San Diego Country Club is seeking a reliable and hardworking Event Ops Assistant/Expo to support our Food & Beverage team. This part-time role involves setting up and breaking down events, ensuring dining and event spaces are properly arranged, and assisting as an Expo in the kitchen when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Ops Assistant Duties:
- Set up tables, chairs, linens, and decorations for events as directed by F&B and Events Supervisor.
- Break down and clean up event spaces after functions.
- Ensure all event areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked in appropriate storage areas.
- Assist with moving furniture and event materials as needed.
- Work closely with the Events and F&B teams to ensure smooth operations.
Expo Duties (As Needed):
- Serve as a liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ensure food orders are properly plated, garnished, and delivered efficiently.
- Communicate with chefs and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo station.
- Assist with any additional kitchen or service needs as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event setup, banquet support, or food service preferred.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work on foot for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
